Our Corporate Social Responsibility programmes focus mainly on the disadvantaged communities in the country. Tata AIA Life Insurance Company supports the following thematic areas through its CSR initiatives.
Through its flagship initiative called Programme for Aspiring & Resilient Students for Academic Success (PARAS) with Buddy for Study India Foundation, the company has given educational scholarships to meritorious students from economically backward sections of the society. The scholarship includes financial aid for professional courses like graduation, post-graduation, and post graduate diploma in the fields of Commerce, Economics, Accounting & Finance, Banking, Insurance, Management, Data Science, Statistics, Risk Management, B. Com, B.Sc., BBA, BBI, BA, etc. During the financial year 2024-2025, the company continues to support the scholarship programme along with a special category of scholarships for transgenders and persons with disabilities.
The company supports “Masti Ki Pathshala” initiative of Tata Steel Foundation in Jharkhand. Masti Ki Pathshala is a network of residential and non-residential bridge courses (RBC) for children formerly engaged in rag-picking, slag picking, begging, working on railway platforms, in brick kilns and in sex work. Cut-off from education, living on streets and in shanties, these children are subject to an extremely unhealthy and hazardous way of life. The challenge of this initiative lies in giving their lives a new direction through education. Mainstreaming them into formal education, imparting them values and ethics to be responsible citizens leading to a dignified and meaningful life
Through the NGO partners like CKS Foundation, HOPE Foundation and Teachmint Edutech, the company has extended its outreach to the remotest locations in Uttarakhand’s Rudraprayag District for setting computer learning centers and digital classrooms in North-East (Mizoram and Nagaland) supporting education of more than 6,000 children. In an effort to support the early childhood education of children of migrant workers in Bangalore, Tata AIA Life Insurance Company has established community centre at Thubrahalli in Bangalore with our NGO partner, Diya Ghar. This aims to provide continuous educational support to the children of migrant workers beyond the preschool years. Education of children from rural communities, and children with disabilities in Perambalur district in Tamil Nadu with Payir Trust has helped 150-160 children from 30 villages covering more than ten disabilities like Intellectual Disabilities, Locomotive Disabilities, Hearing Impairment, Speech Impairment and Visual Impairment, etc. Along with I Hear Foundation, the company has supported children from economically weaker sections of the society suffering from hearing loss for cochlear implant surgeries.
We are deeply committed to making a difference to our communities through quality education and health care.
