The ABHA digital health ID card allows you to easily access and track your health records in a digital format and share these records with any healthcare system through your ABHA registration.
With the Healthcare Professional Registry (HPR) - a database of licenced medical professionals, you can securely get in touch with verified and qualified doctors, medical examiners, and other healthcare professionals and avail of medical consultations when needed.
Maintain and link your personal health records with the digital ABHA Address (Health ID) card, thus keeping track of all your medical history, including treatments and consultations.
No one can gain access to or see your medical data without your consent. You can also revoke access - the most important benefit of the ABHA digital health card.
The digital platform is secured by a robust encryption system and other digital security measures. Further, you can control who has access to your medical information.
Having an ABHA health ID card is not mandatory. You can choose to register for the facility or erase your information from the ABHA database if you want to opt out of this facility.
Once you have a health card, you will also be able to include a nominee for your Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA). This facility is still in progress and will be available soon.
You can create an ABHA digital health card for your child and maintain a medical history record starting from birth. However, this facility is still under development.
You can apply for your ABHA digital health card online using your Aadhaar card.
If your Aadhar card is linked to your mobile number, you can use it to generate your ABHA health ID and receive an OTP on your mobile number to verify the application. If your mobile number and Aadhar are not linked, request help from an Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission participating office.
