In case of any total and permanent disability of the policyholder, there could be a significant financial strain on the family. Many new and unexpected expenses come into the picture, and with such steep costs to meet, it may be a struggle to pay life insurance premiums promptly. And inevitably, the inability to pay life insurance premiums as and when they are due would result in policy lapse and cancellation of your coverage. This would result in you not achieving your intended goals through the insurance policy, and inability to live up to your promise of Rakshakaran.

The Tata AIA Life Insurance Waiver of Premium (Linked) Rider is an optional unit deducting rider, which ensures that insurance benefits under the plan continue to remain in place even if you are unable to pay the premiums towards the base plan owing to total and permanent disability.

Key Rider Benefits:

The coverage offered by this linked individual insurance rider is equal to the Premium Payment Term (PPT) of the base plan.
The benefits offered by this rider are designed for the life assured as mentioned in the base plan.
In case the insured person suffers from total and permanent disability due to an accident or any sickness, and, as a result, is unable to pay the premiums on time, then all future premiums for the base plan will be waived off.
Premiums paid under this rider are eligible for tax benefits as per applicable tax laws.
