Investment objective

The objective of the fund is to invest in companies with similar weights as in the index and generate returns as closely as possible, subject to tracking error. The fund will invest 80%-100% in Equity and Equity related instruments and 0%-20% in Cash and Money Market Securities.

About Sector Leaders Index Benchmark Fund

This index identifies the top three companies by market capitalization in every major sector of the Indian economy from the BSE 500 universe. This provides exposure to the most robust, competitive, and forward-thinking companies in a variety of sectors, including banking, IT, healthcare, consumer goods, energy, and more.

Index Methodology & Composition

Selection Process:
The various stocks are ranked within their sector based on their average six-month daily total market capitalization.
Sector Representation:
Up to three top companies from each sector are selected, ensuring broad-based coverage and reducing over-concentration in any one sector.
Constituent Weights:
Companies are weighted by their float-adjusted market capitalization. Individual stock weightage is capped between 1% (floor) and 5% (ceiling) to further boost diversification and minimize single-stock risk.
Number of Constituents:
The index typically includes around 6¹ stocks, representing leaders from 22 sectors as per India’s industry classifications.
Rebalancing:
The index is reviewed and rebalanced quarterly, with adjustments made within seven days of any changes. This keeps the index current with market dynamics and corporate developments.
