Chiranjeevi Medical Insurance Scheme: Key Features

  • Anyone applying for this health insurance scheme must be a permanent resident of Rajasthan state.
  • All beneficiaries under the Chiranjeevi health scheme – factory workers, contract workers, and small and marginal farmers, can have their insurance premiums paid by the state government. In other words, they can claim this scheme’s insurance benefits for free.
  • Apart from the stated beneficiaries, all other families and state citizens must pay the ₹850 annual premium.
  • Insured women heads of families are offered smartphones with free internet connectivity for up to 3 years. This scheme also covers childbirth costs.

  • Only some private hospitals are allied with the Chiranjeevi health scheme. Insured citizens must carefully check the list of network hospitals under the scheme if they want to get treated at a private hospital.
  • There will only be a single line of grievance redressal. Anyone with a complaint can only express their issues in writing to the head of the institution to which their complaint pertains.
